One of the first times we worked with Photoshop in our Media Class, our Task was to go out, take pictures and then create a film poster in photoshop. Our group decided to go for a Horror Movie. We had a few ideas, took pictures, returned to the computers and started to work on our film posters individually.
I went for two ideas. I choose 2 pictures out of the ones we took outside and tried working. Since I wanted to do a poster for a horror movie, the obvious thing to do was to use dark colours, dimmed light and a abstract font.

The "woods" poster was quite easy to do. I used the Crop-Tool, The Select-Tool, Hue & Saturation, Brightness & Contrast and the Sharpen-Filter to make the colours look as horrifying and mysterious as possible. In the end I used the Text-tool, looked for a good font, thought of a name and et voila. "Woods" - The new movie by Mehran Karimi
